Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data AstroBiz collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what control you have over it. AstroBiz is operated by Deepak Kumar Sharma, Ace Parkway, Sector 150, Noida, Uttar Pradesh 201310, who is the data fiduciary responsible for it.
We ask for birth details and sometimes photographs, which are personal. We only collect what a consultation actually needs, and we do not sell your data to anyone.
1. What we collect
If you book a consultation
- Contact details — your name, and an email address and/or phone number.
- Birth details — date, time and place of birth, including the coordinates of that place. For horoscope matching, this covers both people whose charts are being compared.
- What you tell your astrologer — any questions or message you include with your booking.
- Files you upload — for palmistry, photographs of your palms; for vastu, floor plans or property documents.
- Payment record — the amount, and the gateway’s order and payment references. We never see or store your card, UPI or bank credentials — those go directly to Razorpay.
If you are an astrologer
- Your account email and password (stored hashed — we cannot read it).
- Your public profile: name, biography, photograph, banner image, services and pricing.
- The contact details you choose to publish, such as a phone, WhatsApp number or address.
Automatically
- Standard server logs from our hosting provider, including IP address and browser type, used to operate and secure the site.
- Essential cookies that keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
2. Why we use it
- To calculate your chart and let your astrologer prepare and deliver your consultation.
- To take payment and confirm your booking.
- To email you your booking confirmation and your finished report.
- To let your astrologer contact you about your booking.
- To operate, secure and troubleshoot the Platform, and to meet our legal obligations.
We do not use your birth details, messages or uploaded files for anything other than delivering your consultation. We do not use them to train machine-learning models, and we do not sell or rent them.
3. Who can see your data
Your astrologer sees everything you submit with your booking — that is the point of the booking. Astrologers are required to use it only to deliver your consultation.
Other astrologers on the Platform cannot see your booking. Access is restricted at the database level so an astrologer can only read their own clients’ orders and files.
We also use these service providers, who process data on our behalf:

Each has its own privacy policy. Some may process or store data outside India. We may also disclose data where the law requires it.
4. How we protect it
- All traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS).
- Uploaded files and reports are held in private storage. They are not publicly accessible; they are reachable only through expiring links issued to you or your astrologer.
- Database access rules restrict each astrologer to their own clients’ records.
- Passwords are hashed by our authentication provider and are never visible to us.
No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security — but we will tell you and the relevant authority without undue delay if a breach affects your personal data.
5. How long we keep it
- Booking and consultation records — kept while your astrologer’s account is active, so they can refer back to your history and re-send your report.
- Payment records — kept as long as tax and accounting law requires, typically eight years in India.
- Uploaded files — deleted when the associated order is deleted.

6. Your rights
Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct anything inaccurate — including a birth time you entered wrongly.
- Erase your data, where we are not required to keep it (payment records, for example, we must retain).
- Withdraw consent for future processing.
- Complain if you think we have mishandled your data.
Email asdeepaksharmain@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity first, so that nobody else can request your data.
7. Children
The Platform is not intended for children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If a booking is made on behalf of a child by a parent or guardian, that adult is responsible for the details provided. If you believe we hold a child’s data without proper consent, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Changes
We will update this policy as the Platform develops, and change the date above when we do. If a change materially affects how we use your data, we will make that clear rather than quietly amending this page.
